Hexapod for sea waves simulation

This simulation table is designed for 6 degree of freedom positioning, in particular for sea waves simulation with payload up to 500 kg.

Test bench for aeronautics components

Test rig for Acceptance Test Procedure designed for aircraft components, namely Hydraulic Utility Package and Landing Gear Retraction Manifold.

Helium gas-tight test bench for space launcher propellant reservoir plugs

Test rig conceived to assess propellant reservoir plugs by means of Helium gas: an aluminium mould creates a double room among which the sepcimen is placed, one room for Helium pressurization under the specimen and the second room for vacuum generation above the specimen, an high-definition spectrometer detects and measure Helium leakage across the specimen put in between the pressurized room and the vacuum room.

Main characteristics

  • Specimen: propellant reservoir plugs.
  • Purposely designed aluminium mould to host the specimen and creating a double gas-tight rooms under and above specimen.
  • Helium zero loss compressor: 0 – 300 bar.
  • Helium control valves panel and tank: pressure reducing valves, manometers, 100 l tank, gas-tight piping.
  • Leybold vaccum pump for air suction up to 5E-3 mbar.
  • Leybold mass spectrometer for Helium leakage detection and measurement up to 10E-12 mbar x l/min.
  • Automatic procedure controlled with Bosch Rexroth PLC.

Fatigue test bench for helicopter landing gear

The requirement is to stress the landing gear with fatigue cycles, in order to envisage its behaviour along expected working life, at such purpose an hydraulic servocylinder is used for closed-loop position/force control, equipped with servovalve on-board, load cell and internal LVDT.

Electro-mechanical actuators and control for railways applications

Double 50 kN electro-mechanical actuators purposely design to create side-load to to a train wagon running on roller test bench.

Windows, doors and facedes test bench

Test rig is designed to perform certification tests on windows, doors and facades, according to european norms and standards, namely:

  • air permeability,
  • water-tightness,
  • resistance to wind load.

  • 5×5 m test chamber.
  • automatic air circuit for pressurization level up to +/- 7000 Pa.
  • automatic water circuit with 3 rows calibrated nozzles.
  • real time controller and data acquisition system.
  • certified measuring sensors: pressure, flow, temperature, displacements.

Hydraulic Power Units

Hydraulic Power Units are normally designed accordingly to customer specification, in order to meet oil delivery, pressure and dimensional limits requirements.

Standard and silenced HPU are equipped with Bosch Rexroth pumps and can be connected tank-to-tank for parallel working; in the table here below their main charachteristics.

Hydraulic servocylinders

Conceived for dynamic position/force actuation, our cylinders can be designed in different technologies according to application requirements: 

  • hydrostatic servocylinder with pressurized oil pocket bearings (negligible friction, side-load admissible).
  • hydrodynamic servocylinders with autolubricated bushes (negligible friction, side-load admissible).
  • hydrodynamic servocylinders (negligible friction, side-load not-admissible).
  • industrial cylinder (robust and suitable for harsh environment).
All kind of cylinders can be equipped with servovalve on-board, load cell and position transducer (analogue, SSI, LVDT).

Electro-magnetic linear motors

Linear motors are synchronous permanent magnet electric actuators, their negligible friction and high-stiffness allow an high-fidelity actuation in position/force closed-loop control, particularly suitable to apply small forces, approx. < 1000 N, with speed rate ranging from very low to very high.

Typical application: aeronautics/automotive test benches for pilot simulation (stick and pedal actuation).

HSM Manifold and customized hydraulic blocks

HSM Manifold is a common solution for testing application, here below their main features:

  • OFF: no flow – no pressure; LOW: Max flow – low pressure; HIGH: Max flow – Max pressure
  • control by means of two 24VDC-30W digital commands.
  • pressurization and unload ramp time can be adjusted manually, in order to have a soft start/stop
  • available size: HSM50 (50 l/min) ; HSM100 (100 l/min) ; HSM200 (200 l/min) ; HSM400 (400 l/min) ; HSM800 (800 l/min)
  • available indipendent channels: from 1x to 4x (P-T-PIL-DR-HB)
  • available options: bladder accumulators for lines P-T-PIL, pilot block with filter, electro-proportional valve for remote pressure setting, counterpressure block for T line, pressure switch and/or analogue pressure tansmitter.
Customized manifold blocks are available and designed according to customer application.

Electrical cabinets

Electrical cabinets provide power supply to machines and auxiliary items, they normally comprehend:

  • PLC
  • Safety PLC
  • Drives, including AC/AC frequency converters, DC/AC inverters
  • Regenerative drives
  • Operator panels
  • Interfaces connection for external customer peripherical devices and/or controller.

Real time controller and data acquisition systems

Controller are used for closed-loop regulation for both hydraulic and electrical axes, used in multiple kind of test: characterization, performance, fatigue, endurance, can read, modify and reproduce MTS file format.

Hardware is configurable from 1 to 32 channels, in one single station or in multiple indipendent stations.

Sofware provides a user-fiendly human-machine interface, with possible parametrization to build autonomous sequences. 

Available customized solutions developed to satisfy specific testing requirements with customer data report.
